All descriptions of events included in Groups Direct Ltd's literature are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to alter any event description should this prove necessary.

We make every attempt to operate events as described in our literature. Occasionally it is necessary to alter the order and or content of the itinerary.

In the event of the closure of an attraction or the suspension of a coach, train or boat service on the day of your visit, we will make every effort to arrange an alternative visit. Where admission charges or fares have been included in your event price, all such monies will be refunded in full or used to pay for an alternative visit.

Groups Direct Ltd will not be held liable for any changes to the itinerary that result from the late arrival of a coach, train or boat not hired directly by Groups Direct Ltd. If, as a consequence of such, the itinerary has to be shortened, no refunds can be made. If the late arrival of a coach makes it impractical or impossible to visit a scheduled attraction or partake in a train ride or boat cruise, we will make a full refund of that part of the event payment if we are ourselves are able to obtain a refund.

Groups Direct Ltd will not be held liable for changes to or omissions from an itinerary that results from the breakdown of a coach, boat, the event ride or a train.

Coaches hired by the customer must have a working microphone and the public address system must be in good working order. There must be a reserved front seat for the guide. If any of these conditions are not met we reserve the right to refuse a commentary on the coach. No refunds will be made.

All prices are based on known costs at time of publication. We reserve the right to increase or decrease prices where necessary.

We reserve the right to charge a 2% fee on credit card payments. Payments made using bank transfers will not incur a charge.

If you have a complaint on the day, please advise our Groups Direct Ambassador or Blue Badge Guide immediately. If the matter cannot be put right at the time, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of your trip.

Where meals are included in your itinerary, all menu choices and special requests – such as dietary requirements – should be made at time of booking in writing.  Sample menus, given at the time of reservation, are subject to change and are out of the control of Groups Direct Ltd.  Should there be any changes, to a menu supplied, Groups Direct will make contact as soon as this is known.

For all Theatre ticket purchases, Groups Direct Ltd reserve the right to void a ticket if the ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than Groups Direct Ltd, the Group Organiser or Venue.

Tickets are only valid for the confirmed date and time. No admission will be granted outside of these terms. Please check your tickets carefully. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Groups Direct Ltd act only as an agent and has no control over the event.

Tickets are sold subject to the rules and regulations of the event which are available on request.

The event organiser/venue reserves the right to make alterations to the advertised arrangements or featured artists, to refuse admission and to request latecomers to await admission until a convenient break.

Admission is at the ticket holder’s own risk.

Groups Direct Ltd act only as an agent for ticketing purposes and are not liable for any additional costs attached to a ticketed event such as transport or accomodation, even if the ticketed event is cancelled or unable to be fulfilled by Groups Direct Ltd.

Booking implies acceptance of our terms and conditions, including our cancellation conditions.


We never mind if you are forced to cancel a reservation due to a change of plans, insufficient support or any other reason. If you intend to cancel your reservation with us, you must inform Groups Direct Ltd by the payment date on your reservation confirmation.

Full payment is due at least 28 days before the date of the outing unless otherwise stated. If you do not make payment by this date we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

All complaints must be submitted via email or letter within 7 days following an event.  You may email with any written complaints.  We cannot accept cancellations or refund requests via the telephone.

Groups Direct Ltd will endeavour to respond to all complaints within 28 days of receipt, unless otherwise specified.


All services offered by Groups Direct Ltd, including product descriptions and prices, are offered strictly subject to availability. We reserve the right to make changes to the advertised elements of each party, but in doing so will undertake to offer a suitable alternative.

Groups Direct are not liable for other suppliers service or product, although every effort will be made to ensure the suppliers used are reputable.  If our clients receive an inadequate service or product experience from our suppliers, we will work with the client and supplier to reach an amicable resolution.

Groups Direct Ltd do not accept any liability and shall not be liable for non-completion of any party, or for any delays outside Groups Direct Ltd control.

Groups Direct are not liable for adverse weather conditions which affect an experience, attendance or for loss or damage to property.

Terms and Conditions for Days Out

Terms and Conditions for GETAWAYS

The person or company or principal (hereinafter called the ‘Client’) commissioning Groups Direct LTD to carry out mutually agreed travel arrangements to be designated by the client, by placing such booking with Groups Direct, thereby recognises and agrees the following General Conditions of Travel.

1)  Accommodation and/or other arrangements of whatever nature are made by Groups Direct on behalf of our client. At all times Groups Direct acts as an agent and not as a principal.


2)  Although Groups Direct endeavours to inspect hotels where accommodation for our client(s) is arranged it might occur that in some cases accommodation is arranged in hotels not previously used by Groups Direct. Groups Direct shall not be liable for any claims arising from alleged inadequacy, lack of quality or any other failing in accommodation in any hotel arranged by it.


3)  If for any reason, outside the control of Groups Direct the arrangement cannot be carried out, all monies paid will be returned to our client, subject to a reasonable remuneration for the work done and costs incurred by Groups Direct.


4)  Payments


Any balances should be settled by the date of the invoice. Groups Direct reserves the right to charge interest at the rate of 3% per month on any amounts which remain unpaid 28 days after the invoice date.

Groups Direct holds no responsibility if their suppliers should cancel all or part of a booking should payment not be made in line with the Getaway contract.

All payments to Groups Direct can be paid by Debit/credit card, cheque or bank transfer, whereby the client must pay any related bank charges.

5)  Rates

The rates quoted may be subject to change. In the event of any price increases, outside the control of Groups Direct, you will be notified as soon as Groups Direct become aware of it.


6)  Client Cancellation


Full Cancellation

a) Full cancellation may be made without cost at any time prior to the cancellation deadline shown on the contract.


b)  If a cancellation is made after this date, Groups Direct will endeavour to keep supplier charges to a minimum, although the client will in all cases, be responsible for any charges levied.

c)  Not withstanding this, Groups Direct reserve the right to levy a charge of up to 100% on any tour cancelled within 30 days of departure.

Part Cancellation

a)  A minimum of 85% of all rooms/passengers reported by the client to Groups Direct as ‘sold’ 30 days prior to departure must then travel in order to avoid charges for part cancellation of the tour.


b)  If only 50%-80% of the rooms/passengers advised as ‘sold’ 30 days prior to departure travel, then Groups Direct reserves the right to charge 25% of the full tour value on those rooms/passengers cancelled since the 30 day update.

c)  If less than 50% of the rooms/passengers advised as ‘sold’ 30 days prior to departure travel, then full cancellation charges apply.

d)  In the event of individual room/passenger cancellations being made 0-14 days prior to tour departure, Groups Direct reserves the right to charge 100% of the full tour value on those rooms/passengers cancelling.

e)  Groups Direct reserves the right to terminate the agreement at any time, without prejudice to any other right it may have, in the event that the client fails to comply with the terms of this agreement.

f)  Failure by Groups Direct to enforce at any time any of the provisions of this agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of its rights nor affect the validity of the agreement nor prejudice Groups Direct as regards subsequent action.

g) A full rooming list must be sent to the Groups Direct agent by the date specified on the Getaway contract, any changes after this date may incur charges and admin fees.

9)  Child Discounts

10)  Complaints

In the unlikely event of a complaint, the client is obliged to make Groups Direct and the local supplier aware of any issues immediately. Groups Direct offers a 24 hour On Tour helpline for this purpose.

Groups Direct regrets that failure to complain at the time of service delivery will render null and void any claims made subsequent to the return of the group to the UK or other country of origin.

This agreement shall be governed and controlled in accordance with the laws of England. Groups Direct reserve the right to withdraw this website at any time and without prior warning. Should this problem arise Groups Direct will endeavour to advise users prior to any withdrawal, whether such withdrawal is temporary or permanent.


The prices on the Groups Direct website are subject to change. Prices are updated regularly, and Groups Direct strive to have the correct information accompanying each tour, Groups Direct reserve the right to change prices at any time if it is found to be incorrect.

All rights in the Website, including copyright, the content and design of the Website, is owned by Groups Direct or used under licence from third party owners. Any use of this Website or its contents, including copyright or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your personal or non-commercial use is prohibited without the permission of Groups Direct. You are prohibited from copying, modifying, transmitting, distributing, selling, displaying, licensing or reproducing any content including images and other media on this Website for any commercial purpose.

Where Groups Direct publishes and controls information on the Website, it will use all reasonable endeavours to correct errors or omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them.
